John Powers Severin
M&A 1941
John Severin, a comic-book artist whose work included Mad and Cracked Magazines, passed away on February 12, 2012 at age 90. To read more about his life click here.
Leonard Freiser
M&A 1942
passed away in 2008 after a battle with cancer. He was married for 58 years to his wife Helen, a graduate of M&A 1945. Together, they had over half a century of music (Leonard) and art (Helen). Both have fond memories of their high school years.
Rose Janet Frumes
M&A 1942
passed away on October 20th. A talented artist, she elected to put her own talents aside to "serve as a second muse" for her first husband, Elias Friedensohn (M&A 1942), her second husband, Ed Kulkosky (a performance artist), and her cousin, Roy Kahn (M&A 1940).
Steve Miller
M&A 1944
...passed away on March 7, 2012 of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Steve played with the Kansas City Philharmonic and formed the well-known Steve Miller KC Band. To read more about Steve's life, click here.
