Mission Founded in 1984, the mission of the Alumni and Friends (A&F) is to raise funds, mainly through an endowment, to benefit the school and its students; to bring together students, alumni, and friends of the school and its two legacy institutions, The High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts High School, to assure continuity of community support for the school; and to promote the highest standards of excellence in arts education.
